How to Make Lemon Loaf
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest (about 2 lemons)
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
For the Glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a loaf pan and set it aside.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the sugar and lemon zest.
- Add the softened butter to the sugar mix and beat until light.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Add the milk, vanilla, and lemon juice. Stir well.
- Slowly add the flour mixture and stir until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the pan.
- Bake for about 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
