How to Make Blooming Quesadilla Ring

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, chopped
  • 1 cup taco sauce
  • 20 taco-size tortillas
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, onion, red bell pepper, jalapeño, and taco sauce.
  3. Cut each tortilla in half.
  4. On each half, add about 2 tablespoons of cheddar cheese, 2 tablespoons of Monterey Jack cheese, and 2 tablespoons of the chicken mix.
  5. Roll each tortilla half into a cone, starting from the straight edge.
  6. Put a jar or glass in the middle of the baking sheet. Place the tortilla cones around it with the pointy end facing the jar to form a ring.
  7. Sprinkle more cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese on top of the ring. Make two more layers the same way, each time adding cheese on top.
  8. Take out the jar from the center.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the cheese melts and the tortilla edges are golden and crispy.
  10. Move the quesadilla ring to a plate. Add your favorite dip like salsa or guacamole in the center. Serve right away.
