How to Make Comforting Chicken & Noodles (Crock Pot)

Ingredients:

  • 1 (24 oz) package of frozen egg noodles
  • 2 (10.5 oz) cans of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (32 oz) box of chicken broth (you may want extra for later)
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 (1 oz) packet of dry ranch dressing mix
  • 2 teaspoons of Better Than Bouillon chicken base (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Directions:

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crock pot.
  2. Add butter, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, ranch mix, chicken base (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. About 1 hour before serving, remove the chicken and shred it using two forks.
  5. Put the chicken back in the crock pot and add the frozen egg noodles. Stir everything together.
  6. Cover and cook for another hour, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are tender.
  7. If the mixture becomes too thick, you can add extra chicken broth to get the texture you like.
