How to Make Beef and Rice Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients:

  • 6 green bell peppers
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
  • Water as needed

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds. Boil the peppers for 5 minutes, then drain and sprinkle with a bit of salt.
  3. In a large pan, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, rice, and 1/2 cup water. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, until the rice is tender.
