How to Make Easy Made Italian Meatloaf
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, onion, and bell pepper.
- Place half of the meat mixture into a loaf pan. Press it down and make a small space in the middle.
- Add 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese into the center.
- Cover with the rest of the meat mixture and press to seal the edges.
- Pour half of the spaghetti sauce over the top of the loaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove from oven, pour the rest of the sauce on top, and sprinkle with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
- Return to oven and bake for 15 more minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
