How to Make Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet
Ingredients:
- 1½ lb (650g) flank steak, sliced against the grain
- 1½ lb (650g) baby yellow potatoes, quartered
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter, divided
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Crushed red chili pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
- In a large pot, boil the quartered potatoes in salted water for about 10 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.
- Season steak slices with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak slices and sear on each side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tablespoons butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Stir for about 1 minute.
- Add the cooked potatoes to the skillet. Cook until golden and crispy, about 4–5 minutes.
- Add steak slices back to the skillet. Mix everything together and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
