How to Make Taco Braid

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube Pillsbury pizza crust
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 tomato (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions (chopped)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned.
  3. Drain the fat, then add taco seasoning and water. Stir and cook until it thickens.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Cut strips along both long sides of the dough, leaving the center whole.
  6. Place the cooked taco meat down the center.
  7. Sprinkle both cheeses, diced tomatoes, and green onions over the meat.
  8. Fold the dough strips over the center, alternating sides to create a braid.
