How to Make Apple Pie Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar (not packed)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled and chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set it aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the white sugar and butter until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Combine the flour and baking powder in another bowl. Slowly add it to the wet mixture. Add the milk and stir until the batter is smooth.
  5. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Add half the chopped apples and half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Lightly press the apples into the batter.
  6. Pour the rest of the batter on top. Add the remaining apples and cinnamon-sugar mix. Lightly press again.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  8. Let it cool for about 30 minutes before removing from the pan.
