How to Make Crockpot Lasagna

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 jar (24 oz) pasta sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 12 oz cottage cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 9 lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

  1. Cook ground beef and chopped onion in a pan until the meat is brown and the onion is soft. Drain the fat.
  2. Stir in pasta sauce, tomato sauce, salt, and oregano. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg.
  4. Spread about 1 cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Break 3 lasagna noodles and place them over the sauce.
  6. Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture on top of the noodles.
  7. Add more sauce and then sprinkle some mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers two more times: noodles, cheese mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
  10. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
