How to Make Chicken, Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya Pasta with Homemade Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 box of penne pasta
- 1 pound of peeled shrimp
- 1 pound of chicken breast (cut into cubes)
- 1 pound of smoked sausage (cut into slices)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 small red bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 small green bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 small yellow bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Alfredo sauce:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon of cream cheese
- 1 1/2 cups of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
Directions:
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken and sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add shrimp and cook until pink. Remove and set aside.
- Add the chopped bell peppers and garlic to the pan. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until soft.
- Add all the cooked meat (chicken, shrimp, sausage) back to the pan. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- To make the Alfredo sauce, melt the butter in a separate pot. Add the heavy cream and cream cheese. Stir until smooth.
- Add garlic powder and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
- Pour the Alfredo sauce into the pan with the meat and peppers. Stir everything together.
