How to Make Seafood Mac and Cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 lb cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1/2 lb lump crab meat
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook macaroni as directed on the package. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter over medium heat. Add flour and stir for 1–2 minutes to make a roux.
- Slowly add milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
