How to Make Turtle Caramel Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 60 caramels, unwrapped
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk (for caramels)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix with 1/3 cup evaporated milk and melted butter. Mix until dough forms.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8 minutes.
- While that bakes, melt the caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth.
- Take the pan out of the oven. Pour the caramel over the baked cake layer.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans on top.
- Drop the rest of the cake dough by spoonfuls over the caramel layer.
