
How to Make Magic Chicken Pie
Ingredients :
- 6 tablespoons butter, cubed
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 cups fresh or frozen mixed vegetables
- 1/2 white onion, chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
Directions :
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Put the butter cubes into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Place the dish in the oven until the butter melts. Take it out and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the Bisquick baking mix with the milk. Stir until smooth. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the chicken stock and cream of chicken soup. Stir until smooth. Set aside.
- Now layer the ingredients in the baking dish without stirring:
- First, spread the shredded chicken over the melted butter.
- Add the mixed vegetables on top of the chicken.
- Sprinkle the chopped onion over the vegetables.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Pour the Bisquick and milk mixture over everything.
- Finally, pour the chicken stock and soup mixture on top.
- Bake in the oven for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
