
How to make Puff Pastry Cream Horns
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Granulated sugar (for sprinkling)
For the filling:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the puff pastry into 1-inch strips.
- Wrap the strips around metal cone molds, slightly overlapping each layer.
- Brush the wrapped cones with beaten egg.
- Sprinkle a little sugar on top.
- Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden and puffed up.
- Let them cool completely before removing from the molds.
- In a bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Fill a piping bag with the cream and pipe it into each horn.
- Serve right away or chill until ready to enjoy.
