How to make Puff Pastry Cream Horns

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Granulated sugar (for sprinkling)

For the filling:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the puff pastry into 1-inch strips.
  3. Wrap the strips around metal cone molds, slightly overlapping each layer.
  4. Brush the wrapped cones with beaten egg.
  5. Sprinkle a little sugar on top.
  6. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden and puffed up.
  8. Let them cool completely before removing from the molds.
  9. In a bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  10. Fill a piping bag with the cream and pipe it into each horn.
  11. Serve right away or chill until ready to enjoy.
